About me

Originally from Namibia, I studied law at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where I qualified in 2002 (B.A. LL.B.). I began my legal career at South African law firm Webber Wentzel in Johannesburg in 2003, and was admitted as attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2005. I worked in Webber Wentzel’s Corporate / M&A department until 2006 (main focus: commercial contracts, M&A).

At the end of 2006 I relocated to Amsterdam, and in 2007 I gained Banking & Finance transactions experience at Dutch law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (main focus: acquisition financings and other banking transactions).

In 2009 I joined German independent law firm Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner after moving to Germany. I was a counsel in the Freiburg-based Corporate / M&A team until the end of 2015 (main focus: M&A, commercial contracts, corporate finance).

Returning to the Netherlands, from end-2015 to 2018 I continued my legal career in-house at Royal FrieslandCampina in Amersfoort. As Senior Legal Counsel, I was responsible for the Business Group Ingredients (main focus: commercial contracts).
